Company News

Find a company's recent news with a web-search-backed model, one company at a time or across an entire Parvenu list.

Company News finds a company's recent news through a web-search-backed model and returns it as prose.

It asks a fixed question: up to five stories from the last 12 months, newest first, each with a date, a short headline and one line of detail, covering funding, product launches, partnerships, acquisitions, expansion, awards and leadership hires.

There is no prompt to write. You supply the company, the API supplies the question, which is what keeps one company's answer comparable to a whole list's. To ask a question in your own words instead, use Research with AI.

Endpoints

  • Individual Lookup: pass one domain, get the news back in the response. Synchronous, 1 credit.

  • List Lookup: pass a listname; the API runs it against every row and writes the answer to the company_news column. Asynchronous, 1 credit per company. Contacts at the same company share one answer and one charge.

Use Cases

  • Open with something that happened this quarter. A funding round, a launch or a new leader is a better hook than a generic company description, and this returns only the last 12 months.

  • Spot timing signals across a list. Companies that just raised, expanded or acquired sit in a different buying position from ones that have been quiet, and the company_news column makes that sortable.

Both endpoints cost the same: 1 credit per company that returns news. On a list, each company is charged once, however many of its contacts are on the list. A company with no dated news in the window is not an error and is not charged, it answers not_found. A domain that does not resolve is rejected before anything is spent.
