# Find Hiring Manager

Find who to email about a job a company is hiring for, with a valid email, one company at a time or across a whole list of job posts.

Find Hiring Manager returns the person to contact about a job a company is hiring for, with a verified email.

For each company it tries, in this order:

1. **The job's poster** (LinkedIn's "Meet the hiring team"), when the job shows one. Kept even when that person works in HR or recruiting.
2. **The title the job reports to**, when you send `reports_to_title` (e.g. `CFO`, `President & CEO`).
3. **The company's leaders**, best first: CEO, President, CFO, COO, Founder, Executive Director.

A Vice President never counts as President, an assistant or chief of staff never counts as the executive they support, and Executive Director only counts when it is the whole title. Catch-all addresses and shared inboxes (`hr@`, `info@`, `careers@`, `jobs@`, `admin@`) never count.

* [List Lookup](/enrichments/find-hiring-manager/list-lookup.md): pass a `listname` (usually a list of saved jobs); every company on it is searched once and each person found is added to the list. Asynchronous, 1 credit per person found.

### Use Cases

* **Turn a job search into contacts.** Save jobs into a list with Job Search, then find the person behind each hiring company.
* **Sell to recruiters and staffing firms.** Hand them the hiring manager for roles they fill, with an email that will land.
