Job Function Breakdown

Count a company's people by LinkedIn job function, one company at a time or across an entire Parvenu list.

Job Function Breakdown counts how many of a company's people sit in each LinkedIn job function — Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Operations and the rest — and returns one number per function. Use it to filter a list down to the companies that actually have a team in the function you sell to, such as companies with more than 5 people in sales.

It works from a company LinkedIn URL or a company website. When you only have the website, Parvenu finds the company's LinkedIn page from it first.

Endpoints

  • Individual Lookup: pass one company_linkedin_url or company_website, get the counts back in the response. Synchronous.

  • List Lookup: pass a listname; the API resolves every company in the list and writes the counts into the list's columns. Asynchronous.

Use Cases

  • Qualify on team size, not company size. A 2,000-person manufacturer with four people in marketing is a different prospect from a 200-person agency with forty. Filtering on function_count_marketing separates them; filtering on headcount does not.

  • Spend your credits on the right rows. Keep only the companies where function_count_sales clears your threshold, then run email and phone enrichment on what is left.

  • Read a company's centre of gravity. job_function_top tells you whether a company is engineering-led, sales-led or operations-led, which is often a better sorting signal than its industry label.

Costs 0.5 credits per company with a company LinkedIn URL, and 0.7 credits per company when its LinkedIn page is found from the website. Charged once per company, not per contact, so 20 contacts at one company cost 0.5 credits, not 10. Nothing is charged when no LinkedIn page or no breakdown is found, and a company looked up recently is free.
