# Manage Lists

Create lists, add and update contacts, and change what is in a list after it has been built.

Everything else in these docs adds data to a list by sourcing or enriching it. These endpoints work on the list itself: create one, put your own contacts in it, correct them, and remove or move them.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Nothing here can be undone.** There is no recycle bin and no restore. Every endpoint that changes contacts accepts `dry_run`, which reports what would happen and changes nothing. Use it first.
{% endhint %}

Removing contacts from a list keeps the list itself. Deleting a whole list is done in the Parvenu app, not through the API.

## Creating

[Create a List](/manage-lists/create-a-list.md) makes an empty list by name. It is safe to repeat: a list that already exists is left as it is.

## Adding

[Add a Contact](/manage-lists/add-a-contact.md) and [Add Contacts in Bulk](/manage-lists/add-contacts-in-bulk.md) put contacts you already have (from a CRM, a form or a spreadsheet) into a list without enriching them. A contact the list already has is combined with it rather than duplicated, and a missing list is created for you.

## Updating

[Update a Contact](/manage-lists/update-a-contact.md) and [Update Contacts in Bulk](/manage-lists/update-contacts-in-bulk.md) change or clear fields on contacts already in a list. Every contact that matches is updated, so check with `dry_run` first.

## Removing

[Remove a Contact](/manage-lists/remove-a-contact.md) and [Remove Contacts in Bulk](/manage-lists/remove-contacts-in-bulk.md) delete rows. The data is gone, and re-adding those contacts means enriching them again.

## Moving

[Move a Contact](/manage-lists/move-a-contact.md) and [Move Contacts in Bulk](/manage-lists/move-contacts-in-bulk.md) send rows to a different list instead. The row itself is re-pointed, so every column and every log line comes along and nothing is re-enriched. If the destination already holds that contact, the two are merged rather than duplicated.

When the contacts belong somewhere else rather than nowhere, move them. Removing and re-sourcing costs credits for data you already have.

## Saved views

[List Saved Views](/manage-lists/list-saved-views.md) shows the saved views (named sets of table filters saved in the app) you can use. Send one as `saved_view` on any `_list` enrichment to run it on just that view's contacts.

Every endpoint below is free and none costs credits. All of them answer immediately; there is no job to poll.
